Today 5/5/2008 I visited DR Michael P. Scherl and Lori Roses AuD at the Northern Valley ENT in Westwood NJ to be fitted for a Lyric Hearing aid. I was fitted for two Lyrics as both my ears had about the same problem. I had trouble hearing people talking with background noises and sometimes the words would go together. I didn’t want anyone to know I had a hearing problem but I”am sure the people I met realized that I could not understand them. By 4:30 PM I left their office with my new hearing and believe me I could hear things that I never heard before at least for the last 10 years. This evening I went to one of my monthly meetings and would you believe I could hear everything that was going on including the people behind me. During the meeting someone opened a soda can and I thought a shot was fired but relized that when you open a can of soda there is a sound. No one could tell that I had hearing aids. The lyrics is very simple to use . It comes with a DVD and a user manual. Also before I left the office Lori Roses went over everything. To remove the Lyric you use the other end of the Magnet insert it and remove the lyric. I can turn it on with the keychain magnet and also change the sound level. I also was able to finance the purchase of the Lyric through GE for 12 months at no interest. This was taken care of by Northern Valley. Tonight while watching TV it was the First time that my wife did not say the TV was to loud matter of fact I told her she had the TV to loud. To sum it up: No one knows you have hearing aids as no one can see them and I feel like I have bionic hearing
